Festivals & Carnivals
The first Hornsea Carnival took place in July 1967, there was a procession of decorated floats and fancy dress which still takes place to date. Every year a different theme is picked and the theme for 2022 is Fairy Tales & Legends. There carnival is always held over a full weekend in July and offers entertainment for the whole family including the renowned parade, live music, food stalls, fairground rides and a huge fireworks display.
Hornsea Bikers Event
Hornsea has been hosting the Bikers Event since 2015 and every year it becomes more and more popular. You don’t have to be a bike lover to attend as there is so much to do for the whole family including live music, food stalls, rides and much more. Each year the Bikers Event chooses a charity to fund raise for and always receive a lot of support. A great day out for the whole family! Hosted in August every year.
New Years Day Dip
The New Years Dip in Hornsea has become a tradition around the festive period for all of the locals and holiday makers too. This is usually to raise money for Hornsea Inshore Rescue and it held one the beach. Each year, the daring thrill seekers get sponsored to run into the sea in aid of the local Hornsea Charity. Are you daring enough to take the dip?
Beverley Gin Festivals
Beverley Gin Festival was such a hit last year they are bringing it back! Held in the breath taking Beverley Minster this is the perfect event for all gin lovers! Enjoy the varieties of gin and get a masterclass from the professionals.
Driffield Show is a great day out for the whole family. Enjoy looking around the food hall, craft stalls, trade stands, animals, horticulture and fur and feather. There are lots of educational areas for both children and adults. Watch shows ranging from tractors, horse jumping and heavy horses. Leaflets in reception.
Bridlington Kite Festival
